A Screen International Star of Tomorrow, Mus is directing new kids’ drama TED’S TOP TEN over 2021 and has directed 5 short films funded by the UKFC, BBC, SKY, BFI and the Met Police. He has a slate of features in development including SUPER G’s (Comedy), RUDE BOYS (Action Comedy) and AMAROK (Supernatural Horror) along with TV comedy series IDRIS’S LIFE which the BFI is supporting. He was selected for BFI’s NET.WORK@LFF and Guiding Lights, mentored by Paul Andrew Williams. He has directed various television shows: COCONUT and OI, PUSSY for BBC Three, APPLE TREE HOUSE for CBeebies, Jason Manford’s LITTLE CRACKER, Humza Arshad’s XMAS and THREE KINDS OF STUPID for SKY. Mustapha grew up in West London consuming endless hours of American and British television, when he fell in love with genre, Marvel, action figures and cartoons. After completing a BA in Media Production Mus worked at urban music channel Channel U as a Director before moving on to directing content for MTV. His favourite film is Back to the Future and he is directing a third block of HOLLYOAKS, Winter ’21.
