Miguel Guerreiro

Miguel is a Film, Television and Theatre Director with two decades of experience in continuing and prime time drama. Over the last five years, he has been directing continuously in the UK for EASTENDERS, CORONATION STREET, EMMERDALE, HOLLYOAKS and CASUALTY, more than 100 episodes altogether, including Emmerdale’s 50th Anniversary, and HOLLYOAKS: OUT OF TIME, a special hour-long stunt week episode nominated for Best Single Episode at the British Soap Awards. Originally from Portugal, he cut his teeth directing broadcast drama and worked on many prime-time series — contemporary, period, action, children’s — including international co-productions shot across several continents. Among them LAÇOS DE SANGUE, co-produced by Brazilian Globo TV International, which won an International Emmy for Best Series. He has also directed a TV film, short films and several theatre productions in London.
