Jesse Quinones

Jesse is an Afro-Cuban-Irish writer/director based between London and LA currently writing an action thriller pilot for ITV. His feature script HEIST OF BENIN has David Oyelowo attached to star, Ava DuVernay directing, for Canal. PENTESTER featured on the 2023 Blacklist and is in development. He is directing DEATH IN PARADISE summer 2026 and helmed 2x90 for of COOPER & FRY for C5. Jesse is lead director on BBC One’s WATERLOO ROAD (2022+), nominated for Best Debut Director at Edinburgh TV Festival. He has been adapting a novel for TV for iGeneration and developing original long form ideas. Jesse directed “Love Is A Stranger”, season 8 of INSIDE NO 9, to a 5 Star Review in The Times. His first feature film, CALLOUSED HANDS, starred Andre Royo (The Wire) and screened at over 20 festivals, garnering numerous awards. CAGEFIGHTER starred Gina Gershon and was released theatrically in 2020, with a global online release on Crackle. Jesse is a full member of BAFTA, Director's UK, and the WGA. Additionally, he is an alum of numerous writing labs and fellowships including the Royal Court, Soho Theatre, Berlinale Talent, B3 Media Talent Lab, NALIP Latino Writer's Lab, and the BBC Writer's Room. In his downtime he enjoys spending time with his family and training in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, in which he holds a Black Belt. Jesse is also represented by Gersh and Industry in the US.
