Andy and Ryan Tohill

The Tohill Brothers are an award-winning directing duo from Northern Ireland. They have recently completed CASTAWAYS, a new five part thriller for Parmount / Clapperboard starring Sheridan Smith and directed for DALGLIESH Season 2 f(New Pictures, Channel 5, Acorn TV) having also directed on Season 1. In 2018 their first feature THE DIG won Best Irish Feature at Galway before travelling the world via Toronto, Istanbul and Busan Film Festivals, to name a few. It earned a nomination for the BIFA ‘Discovery Award’ and a ‘Rising Star Award’ at the Irish Film & Television Awards. Their short film EYE LINE won ‘Best New Directors’ at Cornwall Film Festival and was a Finalist in Soho Rushes. Their last short was INSULIN, based in the world of BAFTA nominated The Survivalist, it premiered at Aesthetica. Ryan has worked in the art department of productions including Game of Thrones, Line of Duty, The Fall and Derry Girls as well as numerous features including Oscar-nominated Philomena. Andrew has worked as an editor having cut numerous television documentaries and dramas for local and national television. They are in development with / attached to direct feature films in both the U.S. & U.K including THE CONTINUUM (Identity Media) and BEACH BOYS Mr B. Films (UK). Andrew and Ryan have worked in many departments both on set and in post and have a unique ability to forge a creative, motivated team based on direct experience across departments. They work passionately with performers, aiming to create an environment where artists feel safe to explore and express themselves freely.
