Amy is a BAFTA nominated and RTS winning Director and Writer working across HETV and Features. She has recently directed 2x60min episodes of the BBC1 drama WATERLOO ROAD (S15, WalltoWall, WBTV, BBC) and was lead director on BAFTA nominated and RTS winning teen Sci-fi drama SILVERPOINT (S2, Zodiak/BBC), having directed the closing five episodes on Season 1. She returned to Northern Ireland in 2023 to direct 2x44min episodes of HOPE STREET (BBC, Britbox). Amy has also directed 10 episodes of DOCTORS and 14 episodes of HOLLYOAKS, as well as 2nd unit on Netflix comedy drama FEEL GOOD, and ITV comedy drama RALPH & KATIE. She has several Feature and HETV projects in development including HEAR ME ROAR, the incredible true story of a Trans woman who took on the British Government and won; BLACKWATER, an atmospheric queer Gothic horror set in the salt marshes of Essex; and V-TOWN, a written-to-direct darkly comic LGBTQ+ positive Drama series which is in development with Gaze Pictures / ANTON. Amy’s BFI / Creative England funded short THE TREEHOUSE played at over 40 International Festivals, winning 13 awards, and her most recent short ANNABEL LEE, a gothic love story based on the poem by Edgar Allen Poe played at more than 30 festivals and won 18 awards. Previous shorts include the Award-winning ‘Epitaph’, ‘A Little Bit Country’, ‘Boy Soldiers’ and ‘The Fairweather Girl’. Amy also has more than 20 years’ experience as an AD on Features and HETV, most recently on ‘1000 Blows’ for Disney+, ‘Gundi’ for C4, ‘The Kitchen’ & ‘Feel Good’ for Netflix, ‘You Don’t Know Me’ for BBC and ‘Pennyworth’ / WBTV.
